Scott was involved in a car crash on Tuesday night - he has badly damaged his back and it looks as if the defence of the British and Commonwealth titles in Plymouth on June 7th is off.

Scott is currently out of hospital and is resting at home.

Scott will also be making a mandatory defence of his British and Commonwealth titles in Plymouth on Wednesday June 7th against Richard Williams - the former IBO and WBF Light Middleweight Champion.

Williams, like Dann, is a renowned puncher and boasts a record of 20 victories - 16 inside the distance - three defeats and one draw in his nine-year pro career. This contest is bought to you by Chris Sanigar and Matchroom Productions and will be televised on Sky.

Scott's thoughts on the fight.

"I have no doubts that I will beat Williams and by knock-out, it's important for me to get this defence out of the way and prove that I'm the best middleweight in the country. Williams is a good challenger, there's no doubt about that and a dangerous one.But I'm confident I will have too much in my armoury for him. I want to beat him convincingly and in style, so that I can then step up and challenge for a European or even a world title challenge.I don't think I'll have anything left to prove on the British middleweight scene.I'm hoping that if I do the business against Williams next month then my manager Chris (Sanigar) can put my name forward for a shot at (Germany's) Sebastian Sylvester's European title.I know that Chris has been talking to the Germans concerning a shot at the European title which is what I see as the next rung on the ladder. All through my boxing career I have been working my way up through the levels and if I can win and hold on to the European title, it would then help me get a big pay day in the United States against one of the top Americans. That's my big dream and my goal."
