Scott first donned a pair of boxing gloves at the tender age of three. He was crowned British School Boys champion three times and only missed out on a forth crown when he was out pointed by Naseem Hamed in the final.

He had an impressive amateur career, having 64 bouts with 60 wins. Scott was the ABA Senior Light-Middleweight Championship in 1996 and turned professional in 1997.

In 2003 he fought Howard Eastman for the European, British and Commonwealth Titles, although Scott caught Eastman in the 1st he went on to lose the contest in the 3rd.

In 2004 and 2005, Scott was presented the BBC South West Sports Personality of the Year Award.

To date he has had 25 professional contests winning 23 of them, 16 by knockout. He has successfully defended the British Middleweight Title three times resulting in being presented the Longdsdale Belt to keep. Scott has fought and successfully won the IBO Intercontinental Middleweight Title and the English Middleweight Title.

Scott is now ranked in the top ten Middleweights in the World and will soon be looking to become the Commonwealth Middleweight Champion.
